On February 28, 2019, PA „ProEntranse”, partner within BOND project (Bringing Organizations & Network Development to the Higher Levels in Farming Sctor in Europe), organized a workshop to identify the constraints the limitation-difficulties around collective processes for agroecology which farmers from Republic of Moldova are faced.
The participants were small farmers which are working in different areas of agriculture. Most of the participants argued that collective activities would be an asset for them but are faced with various challenges durring the process of creating or joining a group or association.
The main difficulties and constrains for the farmers are the following:
- Lack of trust;
- The Soviet mentality that persists in our society;
- Discrepancy of the legal and fiscal legislation for the current situation;
- Lack of success stories that can motivate and inspire the farmers at the inception stage;
- Lack of managerial skills, etc.
The findings of the participating farmers can serve as a basis for the activities within the experimental lab together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
