The Herbafruct Cluster and the Ecological Social Institute are pleased to announce the launch of the project “From Medicinal and Aromatic Plants to Market: Supporting the Development of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Sector and Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas Surrounding the Herbafruct Cluster.”
This initiative marks an important step towards the development of the natural products and medicinal plants sector in the Nisporeni region.
From 11–15 August 2026, four entrepreneurs from the Herbafruct Cluster will undertake a study visit to Poland. The activity marks the official launch of the project and represents the first in a series of concrete actions dedicated to supporting the local community and fostering entrepreneurship in the region.
A “From Field to Final Product” Learning Experience
The study visit is organised within the framework of the RITA – Region in Transition programme, co-financed by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and implemented by the Education for Democracy Foundation.
Over the course of four working days, participants will have the opportunity to explore international best practices and engage with Polish experts through a series of practical and knowledge-sharing activities:
- Field visits: Entrepreneurs will visit leading companies specialising in the cultivation of aromatic plants, the production of natural cosmetics, essential oils, and dietary supplements.
- Specialised training: Participants will attend seminars delivered by specialists in food technology, cosmetic products, and EU regulations.
- Knowledge transfer: The knowledge and experience gained during the study visit will be transformed into practical case studies to be used during hands-on workshops in Moldova and as part of the future Herbafruct Academy.
What Comes Next? The Launch of the “Herbafruct Academy”
The project aims to create genuine development opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, and young people in the region.
In the coming period, we will organise online information sessions during which we will present:
- the detailed objectives of the project;
